The School of the Performing Arts: "A Unique Area of Excellence" A Message from Dr. Kenneth Robbins, Director, SPA
Along with the School of Art and the creative writing programs of English and Journalism, the School of the Performing Arts has been designated by the University and the Board of Regents as "a unique area of excellence in the creative and performing arts," one of only five programs of study so identified at Louisiana Tech University. We in the school are honored by this designation and are determined to not only continue our dedication to excellence but make improvements.
To what do we owe this distinction? There are many contributing factors:
- the students who select Tech as their academic home
- the faculty who are engaged in providing the best possible education
- the facilities that continue to provide excellent venues for performances
- the curriculum that is aimed at providing students with the best possible education
